Text | The word "fuller" denotes a skilled workman who fulls or cleans, or otherwise treats cloth. Presumably the various families named Fuller in England are descendants of those early-day fullers. It is highly unlikely that they were all related, having derived the name, as they did, from their occupations rather than from one ancestor. The Fullers were freeholders in Redenhall, Norfolk, as early as 1482. | |
